Police responded to an incident involving an armed man today at the Valley View Ferry.
According to information posted by ferry personnel, an armed male entered the ferry terminal and informed the crew that he was in fear for his life because people were trying to kill him.
Capt. Shane Toomey and Able Seaman Brian Rutherford, both of whom recently competed Vessel Security Training at Sea School in Bayou La Batre a week ago, were trained to respond to the incident. Capt.
