A feisty rattlesnake was captured in a family’s backyard in Calabasas earlier this week.
Los Angeles County firefighters responded to a call at the home around 6 p.m. Firefighters found the rattler hiding among children’s toys.
A Calabasas resident posted a video on Instagram of firefighters capturing the snake with a grabber as it attempted to wriggle free. Although the snake was hiding near toys, the family’s kids weren’t home at the time, the man said.
“[Imagine] finding a rattlesnake in your kid’s backyard among all the toys that kids interact with,” the resident wrote on Instagram. “Still in shock. Luckily the kids weren’t home. Everything could have turned very bad … Stay alert.”…
