Water restrictions have ended for Raleigh Water customers after the city’s second-wettest July on record brought more than 12 inches of rain to the area.
Raleigh Water, which supplies water to more than 650,000 people in Wake County, began water restrictions in April during a statewide drought, limiting in-ground sprinklers and issuing more than 200 warnings to residents for violations.
Some Triangle towns and water systems have year-round conversation efforts, unrelated to the drought, while others continue specific drought-restrictions. The status of all water systems in North Carolina can be found online at ncwater.org/WUDC/conservation-status…
