Woman dead after northeast shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police found four people shot at four different locations within 75 minutes Monday night, leaving one woman dead and three adults injured.

Woman fatally shot at The Residences on 56th Street

Medics and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded at 7:52 p.m. Monday to the 5600 block of Brendon Way Court. The scene was at The Residences on 56th Street apartments, northwest of the Interstate 465 and East 56th Street interchange.

Officers found a woman with gunshot wounds who died shortly after. Police arrested a suspect. Investigators believe the shooting happened during a domestic dispute. A child was inside the home at the time.

Adult in stable condition after Lynwood Avenue shooting

A second shooting happened at 8:31 p.m. at apartments in the 4700 block of Lynwood Avenue, near a Culver’s restaurant. Police found an adult with gunshot wounds; that person is in stable condition at a hospital. Police have not released information on what led to the shooting or if they have anyone in custody.

2 men stable after shootings near each other

Police responded at 8:52 p.m. to a report of a person shot at an AutoZone store at 6170 E. 46th St. Circle City Broadcasting photographer TJ Whitmer captured images of police cars at an abandoned business building next to the store.
