MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A piece of unexploded ordnance was discovered Wednesday afternoon while crews were working on beach renourishment in Garden City.
According to Dylan Burnell with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the offshore dredge recovered the historical item while working just south of the Garden City Pier.
Burnell said it’s the first time they’ve found an item like this during this project, which began last December…
