Two people accused of drug possession; one accused of resisting an officer in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Two individuals who were parked in an empty field are accused of drug possession, according to the Fort Pierce Police Department.

Per the FPPD, before 5 a.m. on July 31, officers were called to N. 10th Street regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in an empty field. When officers arrived, they found Leslie Howard, 70, and Rakeya Jackson, 28, and observed drug paraphernalia in plain view.

The FPPD says that Jackson refused several lawful commands to exit the vehicle, and actively resisted the officers’ attempts to detain her. Howard was taken into custody without incident…
