The Wilmington Police Academy is underway, and the application process for next year’s class will soon begin.
14 recruits are taking part in training to become future police officers. The 106th Police Academy drew a total of 317 applicants, which was more than the past several academies. Recruits with the Wyoming, Cheswold and Smyrna Police Departments are also training with the Wilmington recruits.
