A state trooper and another driver were seriously injured in a crash on I-35 in the north Twin Cities metro on Sunday evening.
Around 5:35 p.m., the Forest Lake Police Department was dispatched to the scene of the two-vehicle crash, just south of 220th Street North.
According to a preliminary investigation, the driver of a Lexus was heading north on I-35 when it struck the passenger side of a fully marked Minnesota State Patrol vehicle, which was parked in the median bypass as the trooper conducted speed enforcement.
