‘I’ve never seen this before’: Thousands of dead fish line Boyd Lake

LOVELAND, Colo. (KDVR) — A disturbing scene along the shoreline of Boyd Lake has left neighbors asking questions after thousands of dead fish washed up in the area.

But Colorado Parks and Wildlife said the fish did not originate in Boyd Lake.

The agency said the fish came from nearby Horseshoe Lake, a private water body connected to Boyd Lake by a channel. CPW said lower water levels at Horseshoe Lake led to a fish die-off, and those fish, dead or alive, moved into Boyd Lake…
