Fairlawn adds second Rosemont Preserve tour as first fills 150 spots

FAIRLAWN, Ohio — Interest in Fairlawn’s Rosemont Preserve continues to grow, with the city adding a second public walking tour after the first filled all 150 available spots as construction progresses on the 66-acre environmental restoration project.

The second free community walking tour is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 1, departing from the Fairlawn Kiwanis Community Center, 3486 S. Smith Road.

Transportation will be provided from the community center to the starting point. Participants will walk through active construction areas, view project renderings and future vision displays, learn about the preserve’s environmental benefits and community impact and attend a presentation recognizing a recent funding award.
