In last week’s Small Bites column we mentioned that Ranch Pizza closed in downtown Hillsboro. And now we know what’s taking over in that space: A third location of Society Pie. This adds to their Beaverton and original Hillsboro/Tanasbourne locations.

Society Pie was founded five years ago by Josh and Stacey Kearney, after spending 20 years in the corporate world, all the while yearning for a chance to run their own business. “We’re incredibly grateful for those opportunities,” wrote Josh and Stacey of their corporate careers.
They continued, “But over time we realized something was missing. Our careers lacked inspiration. They lacked soul.”
So, they left their corporate jobs and started up Society Pie with a lot of passion for pizza—but no experience with restaurants. They also liked to cultivate community. And they though they could bring something special to the suburbs. They worked on their dough and got it to the point where they felt confident enough in it to serve it to others…
