SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego Zoo’s Nighttime Zoo ends on Sunday, closing a final chapter to the after-hours experience that’s been offered at one of the world’s most famous zoos for more than three decades.
For San Diegans, the start of summer for the last 32 years has been marked in part by the kickoff of Nighttime Zoo. From May to August, guests enjoyed the zoo during extended hours, experiencing a lineup of special entertainment and a peek at nocturnal animals normally hard to catch during the day.
