A UCLA student was killed in an accidental fall in King County, Washington last week, KING 5 in Seattle reports.
The student, 21-year-old Dayanara Nicole Urbina Ruiz, fell from a building window along the Burke-Gilman Trail. The accident happened on July 30, the California Post reports.

Ruiz was a communications major who was working as a summer marketing intern at Amazon Web Services in Seattle at the time of her death, KING 5 reports. Ruiz was also the co-president of UCLA’s first fashion club and a member of the Phi Lambda Rho sorority.
“Dayanara was a bright light, a gentle soul, and someone whose kindness touched everyone around her,” a post on the Phi Lambda Rho Instagram page reads. “She was always there for those in need, offering support, hope, and compassion without hesitation. Her memory will forever remain a part of our sisterhood, and her impact will continue to live on through the lives she touched.”
