A Flood Watch has been issued from 4 AM to 11 AM Wednesday, as pockets of heavy rain could lead to localized flash flooding during the morning commute around DC, northern VA, and parts of Maryland.
For the rest of your Wednesday, we’re looking mainly cloudy with scattered rain and a few rumbles of thunder possible. Highs will be in the upper 80s with more humidity.
More heat and humidity will build in for Thursday and Friday though as highs reach into the lower 90s, but when you factor dewpoints into the 70s, we’re eyeing heat index values during the peak daytime heating of the day reaching at least 100.
