Construction worker seriously injured after becoming trapped at Google data center

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — A construction worker at a Google data center in Council Bluffs was seriously injured when they became trapped under an elevator on Monday.

According to the Council Bluffs Fire Department, several agencies responded to a 911 call from a construction supervisor at Google South, located at 10410 Bunge Ave., reporting that a construction worker had been injured.

Local radio station KMA Broadcasting reported that the construction worker had become trapped under an elevator.

Emergency crews were able to remove the worker from the entrapment and take him to a Life-Net helicopter, which transported him to Nebraska Medicine Trauma Center in Omaha, the CBFD said. The worker’s condition was not released…
