2 Omaha neighborhoods, 2 eyesore properties — one gets cleaned up, one still waiting

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – In two Omaha neighborhoods miles apart, neighbors have filed the same complaint: a property has become a dangerous eyesore and something needs to be done.

A First Alert 6 investigation shows the problem — and in one case, a solution.

North 132nd Street: cleaned up

The sight of an overgrown property on busy North 132nd Street near Meredith had grown old for nearby neighbors. After a complaint was filed, a city crew of six spent most of a day clearing two and a half acres of overgrown weeds and brush that had grown tall and thick in the two months since a violation notice had been issued.
