A 37-year-old man accused of starting a massive Washington state wildfire that has displaced some 60,000 people was convicted of killing his father in Arizona nearly 14 years ago, according to law enforcement officials and multiple media reports.
Aaron F. Farinacci was arrested Aug. 2, one day after the Old Trails Fire started, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The fire is one of three major wildfires ravaging the Spokane area.
