TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The suspect in last month’s mass shooting in downtown Tucson is facing additional charges.
David Leroy French initially faced the following 19 charges:
- 9 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- 9 counts of aggravated assault with serious physical injury
- 1 count of discharging a firearm at a structure
New court documents show a grand jury indicted French on more than two dozen charges.
- Two counts of attempted second degree murder
- Eight counts of aggravated assault with serious injury
- Seven counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- Ten counts of endangerment
- One count of discharging a firearm within city limits
- One count of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited possessor
His next court appearance is scheduled for August 7.
