ANN ARBOR, MI – One of two men accused of shooting at a home in rural Washtenaw County has pleaded no contest to several weapons charges.
Fred Willis, 23, was sentenced July 23 as a youthful trainee under an agreement with Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Arianne Slay, according to court records. The Holmes Youthful Trainee Act allows young offenders to have their records sealed if they complete their sentence.
Willis, who pleaded no contest June 11 to discharging a weapon in or at a building, is one of two men accused of shooting at multiple homes in Augusta Township last year. Isaiah Bozeman, now 22, also has a pending case in the Washtenaw County Trial Court, where he is facing nine charges of discharging a weapon in or at a building and nine charges of using a firearm during a felony, court records show…
