BPS staff escorted from City Hall after employee threat

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Public School employees were instructed to shelter in place at City Hall on Wednesday after a threat was made against a district employee, officials said.

City officials said the threat was directed at one specific individual, but did not name the person. Buffalo Police determined the threat to be credible. There was no indication of a threat on City Hall.

The district said the employee was threatened by a family member. All BPS staff were escorted out of the building at 4 p.m. No other City Hall employees were impacted.
