GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Voters approved Grand Rapids Public Schools’ sinking fund proposal Tuesday, authorizing the district to levy up to 0.95 mills for 10 years to pay for building maintenance, infrastructure and technology improvements.
The proposal passed with 24,794 votes (66.92%) to 12,256 votes (33.08%, according to unofficial election results from the Kent County Clerk’s Office.
