Crews are working to repair a large sinkhole that opened up in Elizabeth, leading to street closures in the area.
According to a spokesperson for the City of Elizabeth, the sinkhole on Reid Street was caused by the recent heavy rain that blanketed the area over the past week.
“Due to the recent heavy rainfall, a sinkhole developed on Reid Street after the roadway deteriorated. There have been no reported injuries,” the spokesperson told News 12…
