DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa State Fair announced it’s pausing camper parking and vendor setup due to the heavy rain on Wednesday.
The fair said that with the 2.5 inches of rain it received overnight, as well as the additional rain expected throughout the day, ground conditions are too soft, potentially causing unsafe conditions for vehicles and campers.

Concessionaires and outdoor vendors can only park or set up on hard surfaces on Wednesday. Setup on grassy areas can resume at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
