Woman pleads guilty to conspiracy in Poudre Canyon murder case

A woman arrested in connection to the death of a man whose body was found near Poudre Canyon Road has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder.

In the early morning hours of April 11, 2025, the Poudre Canyon Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire under the bridge at the Stevens Gulch picnic area in the Poudre Canyon where they found a deceased man who was on fire, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. The victim was identified as 49-year-old Gerardo Hernandez Lucio from Greeley. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound. Investigators believe he was killed in Weld County several days before his body was found April 11 in Larimer County.
