SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Shreveport woman is giving back to college students in a big way. Grace by God, a local organization, is hosting its first-ever college giveaway.
The event was held in Mall St. Vincent inside the Drip n Sip paint studio. Organizer Aliya Green says the idea came from noticing a gap in support for students beyond high school, and from realizing how difficult it is for college students to access the resources they need.
Today, the organization gave away tons of school supplies, along with dorm essentials, laundry supplies, air fryers, TVs, free haircuts, and more, thanks to more than 10 community sponsors…
