GUILDERLAND — Hundreds of people lined up Thursday morning for the long-awaited opening of the region’s first Costco, but if you’re looking for quieter times to shop, here’s intel from a company insider:
Tuesdays are the best days to shop for those looking to avoid the large crowds, said Brian Heiss, a manager for the warehouse wholesaler, who was at the grand opening.
People who sprung for Costco’s $130 executive membership get in an hour earlier at 9 a.m., but Heiss says those with a regular $65 membership will still see smaller crowds when they can get in at 10 a.m. (Reminder: shoppers must purchase a membership to shop at Costco.)…
