A 34-year-old Oakland Park woman who vanished for nearly two months has been found safe. The Broward Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that Lauren Hunter, missing since June 17, was safely located and reunited with her family.
Hunter was last seen around 4:30 p.m. that day near the 5700 block of North Dixie Highway, wearing black pants, a pink shirt, and black slides, according to the original missing persons bulletin cited by WSVN. She was described at the time as 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with red hair and brown eyes. That alert went out two days later, on Friday, June 19, 2026, as detectives began working the case.
By the time Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit detectives confirmed Thursday that Hunter had been located, she had been missing for 50 days. The Broward Sheriff’s Office has not publicly disclosed the specific circumstances or location where Hunter was found — standard procedure, the station’s report notes, when an adult missing person is located safely and reunited with family.

It is not clear from available records why this particular corridor has generated so many alerts, but the pattern has made it a recurring flashpoint for BSO’s Missing Persons Unit…
