As Hoover’s Exit 9 project advances, homeowner says key questions remain

HOOVER, Ala. (ABC 33/40) — As the City of Hoover celebrates securing an additional $16 million in federal funding for the planned Interstate 459 Exit 9 interchange, one homeowner says he is still fighting for answers about why his property is needed for the project.

James Robertson has lived on his property since 1969. Nearly six decades later, he says plans for the new interchange have left his family’s future uncertain.

“They’ve kind of been left out of the picture because ALDOT stepped in,” Robertson said. “ALDOT really doesn’t tell you anything.”…
