One of my favorite houses on Norwood Avenue is on the market. I’ve walked past this stunner hundreds of times, wondering about what the interior beholds. Now, the big reveal is just as breathtaking as I imagined, as much of its original architectural detail remains intact. What I didn’t realize was that this is a five-unit apartment building.
What I especially love about 46 Norwood Avenue is the porte-cochère (or carriage porch), the manicured garden areas, the low stone wall, and the neatly tiled driveway. Then there’s the solarium and the private porch.
At 7,685 SF, there’s a lot to take in, including the grand staircase, and ornate banister. Simply gorgeous. The leaded glass bay window is equally impressive. Someone with some real vision could take this beauty to an entirely different level, decor-wise. In fact, this would make for an incredible pied-à-terre, inn, or bed and breakfast…
