FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCSC) — A new video has been released of the DUI suspect who was sentenced for killing a newlywed bride three years ago.
Jamie Komoroski slammed into the back of a golf cart the night of April 28, 2023, at 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Ashley Avenue. Samantha Miller, the newlywed bride in the golf cart, was killed at the scene in the crash, and her husband, Aric Hutchinson, and two relatives were injured.
The newly released video showed Komoroski repeatedly asking the officer who brought her into the room if she could call her father. She also repeatedly refused to take a breathalyzer test to check her blood alcohol level, according to the documents received from the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
She was then taken to MUSC for blood samples that were sent to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division for testing, and they reported her blood alcohol level to be 0.261%, more than three times the legal limit in South Carolina…
