NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — Douglas Greene has made his private-sector résumé a central argument in his campaign for the Nassau County Commission.
Greene, 65, told News4JAX that the advantage he offers voters is “Significant Business Experience.” He described building Haberhill LLC into a company that, at its peak, owned five hotels with 4,600 rooms and generated more than $300 million in sales and $84 million in operating profit.
Missing from that campaign account is a more complicated chapter of Greene’s business record: Two large convention hotels owned through partnerships involving Haberhill were subsequently lost in foreclosure proceedings…
