MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have confirmed to Action 8 News that they are investigating a series of thefts involving air conditioners and copper wiring.
Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff says the first case was reported at around 7PM on Tuesday, July 28. Police were called to a burglary in the 7900 block of Eastchase Parkway. McGriff says the burglary involved the theft of copper from air conditioning units.
A few days later, on Thursday, July 30, at 12:15PM, officers were called to the 2200 block of East Fourth Street on another theft report. In this case, an air-conditioning unit had been removed by unknown thieves…
