Georgetown deputies seek help identifying man in bank fraud investigation

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who is a person of interest in a bank fraud investigation involving unauthorized withdrawals and fake identification.

Investigators say the man is connected to multiple attempts to withdraw money from bank accounts belonging to other individuals by posing as the account holder.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, surveillance photos were taken on July 3, 2026, at a Truist bank in North Myrtle Beach, where the man allegedly successfully withdrew a large sum of money…
