KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City metro saw severe thunderstorms late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, leaving several communities without power and causing damage to numerous properties.
FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter reported areas near Belton, Raymore and southern Lee’s Summit saw the most damage after a confirmed downburst hit the region, leading to 70 mph winds.
