KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Systems are down at the National Weather Service (NWS) Kansas City facility after a lightning strike hit its radar Thursday morning.
Various parts of the metro saw damaging storms overnight into early Thursday morning, with several damage reports coming from southern Jackson County and Cass County. The NWS Kansas City headquarters in Pleasant Hill was one of those places.
