RAYMORE, Mo. (KCTV) – Straight-line winds of 70 miles per hour or more tore through a Raymore ranch and surrounding areas overnight, leaving behind downed trees, damaged structures and scattered debris, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service reviewed radar data and said the damage is consistent with straight-line winds of at least 70 mph.
Damage at Bar-Nun Ranch
Bill Fruehling, owner of Bar-Nun Ranch, said the storm shook his home and left widespread damage across his property — including a barn torn apart, heavy furniture displaced and trees downed. Fruehling took KCTV5 around the property by golf cart to show the extent of the damage.
“She said the whole house shook,” Fruehling said.
Jason Russell, who rents property on the ranch, said the storm hit around midnight. He said the sky lit up with lightning and thunder rocked the house before he stepped outside to find debris scattered across the property…
