WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — It’s that time of year in the DMV as students and parents prepare to head back to school. DC Public Schools (DCPS) K-12 students head back in just three short weeks, on August 24.
On Thursday, Ward 8 families celebrated the end of summer and the start of a new school year at the Bellevue Library’s Back-to-School Bash in Southwest.
Students got free new backpacks, books, and looks, while enjoying summer snacks, treats, and beats. Families also had the chance to pick up free groceries and produce.
