FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Fort Wayne Community Development is planning to appeal the state’s denial of a variance that would make way for a public restroom downtown.
City leaders say the public restroom, a Portland Loo, is for everyone, despite a variance request submitted by a contractor that labels it as a facility for people experiencing homelessness.
Fort Wayne Community Development’s appeal will correct that information, according to a news release, and provide more details about the restroom’s safety.
