Dallas-Fort Worth’s apartment market is beginning to regain its footing after two years of record deliveries flooded the market with new supply. According to a second-quarter multifamily outlook from Marcus & Millichap, demand remains strong while new construction is slowing.
“Dallas-Fort Worth’s strong population growth, corporate expansion, and employment gains continue to create a favorable backdrop for long-term apartment demand and investment,” says Mark McCoy, the firm’s DFW managing director and market leader.
North Texas has added 100,000 new residents and 47,000 new households year-over-year as of March 2026, placing it No. 1 in the nation for absolute population growth.
