RIO RANCHO — At about 100 degrees or more, this week seems like a good time to stay inside. However, a few families in Mariposa attended National Night Out festivities despite the heat.
An annual night of connecting the community, National Night Out is meant build camaraderie between residents and the police departments who serve them.
For the Rio Rancho Police Department, the night acts as a calm setting in which they can build trust with the community.
