NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – To celebrate Boeing’s contribution to South Carolina’s economy, Governor Henry McMaster has proclaimed on Friday that August 7th be Boeing 787 Dreamliner Day.
For more than a decade, North Charleston has been the home for the full Boeing 787 Dreamliner production cycle. In that time, Boeing has employeed more than 9,000 people and worked with more than 200 suppliers in South Carolina, contributing approximately $1.9 billion to the state’s economy.
In addition to the North Charleston campus, Boeing also operates Fabrication South Carolina Aerostructures (FSCA) in Orangeburg. This operation supports manufacturing for not just the 787, but the 777 and 737 programs too…
