Two River Valley counties under burn ban during moderate wildfire risk

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Amidst sweltering heat and limited rain, some Northwest Arkansas and River Valley counties are seeing wildfire risks and burn bans.

All counties in the KNWA/FOX24 coverage area are currently under ‘moderate’ wildfire risk, meaning that fires can start accidentally and while fires “may not become serious”, “caution should be taken,” according to the Arkansas Department of Agriculture Forestry Division.

Franklin and Logan Counties are currently under a burn ban.
