Riverside State Park closed indefinitely due to wildfires, more than 1,000 acres have burned

SPOKANE, Wash – Riverside State Park and parts of the Centennial Trail remain closed for the foreseeable future, due to damage from the Spokane fires.

Washington State Parks sent a news release Friday, showing charred trees and trails in the park.

The Old Trails Fire burned through parts of the park last Saturday, as it jumped the Spokane River and burned into neighborhoods. The agency says 1,500 acres of state park are impacted by both the Old Trails and Autumn Lane fires…
