After two years slinging soft serve, the future of a Horry County ice cream shop is in doubt due to rezoning complications.
Gary and Kari Ward have operated Ward’s Boat Storage and Ward’s Soft Serve at 9032 Freewoods Road since 2024. The property has always been a BO1 zoning district, which houses boating/marine commercial businesses. Now, that has to change.
