Corpus Christi Locks In $7.4 Million in Federal Housing and Neighborhood Funds

Corpus Christi homeowners who need housing repairs, sidewalk work, or help with homebuyer support programs now have a clearer path to city assistance.

City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2027 Annual Action Plan on July 28, splitting $7,443,430 across three federal HUD programs that run from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.

Where the money goes

The largest chunk — $3,703,414 through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program — pays for housing repairs, curb and sidewalk work, public facility updates, and code enforcement across the city.
