PARAMUS, N.J. (PIX11) — A New Jersey man has been arrested for providing false information to a law enforcement officer and for an outstanding attempted murder warrant, the Paramus Police Department said.
Police said an officer pulled over a vehicle on Route 4 West after noticing a 2009 gray Kia with a Florida plate obscured by a heavily tinted cover. During the stop, the officer became suspicious when the passenger couldn’t provide identification and gave inconsistent answers about his identity.

As the officer questioned the occupants of the vehicle, the driver identified his passenger as his brother, “James Haywood.” The passenger also identified himself as James Haywood and allegedly provided a false date of birth, according to police.
Police investigation revealed that the information provided matched an alias used by Yancy Haywood, 52, of Paterson, who was wanted by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office for first degree attempted murder, according to authorities…
