Happy Sunday! Much of the same hot and muggy summer weather continues this week. An area of high pressure influences our weather until Thursday. Then, a cold front Friday brings some changes.
Today will pretty much be a repeat of yesterday. Plenty of sunshine. High temperatures in the mid 90s feeling like 100-105° with high humidity. A few afternoon/evening showers or storms, but most areas will stay dry.
If you’re keeping cool by taking a dip in the ocean, water conditions look good. a low rip current risk all the way down to Buxton.
Monday and Tuesday will be very similar. Highs remaining in the mid 90s, feeling like 100-105°. Rain chances increase slightly more on Tuesday. A disturbance could bring us a line of isolated to scattered storms in the afternoon and evening. We have a level 1 of 5 risk for severe storms Tuesday afternoon and evening for the Eastern Shore, Peninsulas, and Inland. Damaging wind gusts look to be the primary threat.
We cool down ever so slightly to highs in the low 90s Wednesday and Thursday. We’ll still feel like the triple digits though. Both days will be partly cloudy and a bit drier. Just a few PM pop-ups possible, but mostly dry…
