Multiple arrests during MBPD check of City Hall lot; alleged alcohol, loitering offenses

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Myrtle Beach police said they are aware of videos circulating on social media that show multiple arrests in the City Hall parking lot, an area that has been posted as “no loitering” for several years.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department said it regularly conducts “keep checks” of the area in response to requests, complaints and concerns raised by community members.

During one of those checks on Saturday, Aug. 8, officers said they observed individuals “actively violating the law” and detected the odor of marijuana…
