PALMETTO, Fla. — Veterans Elementary School in Palmetto will welcome its first students this fall as Manatee County works to ease overcrowding in nearby schools.
The new campus will open with kindergarten through fifth grade. Principal Laura Campbell said about 300 students are enrolled for the school year.
