WORTHINGTON, Ohio (WCMH) — The developer behind Dublin’s Bridge Park is proposing a mixed-use development on Worthington’s west side, aiming to replace three aging office buildings with a walkable district of housing, retail, hotels, offices and public gathering spaces.
Crawford Hoying has applied to rezone roughly 17.6 acres at 400, 450 and 500 W. Wilson Bridge Road from office and institutional use to a planned unit development. The buildings, part of the Officescape Corporate Center, were built in 1976 and 1977 and would be demolished and redeveloped in three phases organized around a new east-west internal street.
The proposal calls for roughly 250 multifamily apartments, eight townhomes, 182 condominiums, 150 senior living units and 290 hotel rooms. It also includes 211,000 square feet of office space, 134,600 square feet of retail and restaurant space and 2,381 parking spaces, much of it in structured garages.
Crawford Hoying presented the preliminary plan to Worthington’s Municipal Planning Commission on July 9, but no vote was taken. The application was tabled while the developer completes a traffic study and provides other information requested by the city…
